Keyland Polymer UV Powder develops, formulates, manufactures, and sells UV cured powder coatings; sold under the UVMax® brand. UV cured powder coatings are an ideal finishing solution for heat sensitive materials including composites, plastics, and wood as well as traditional metal materials. These coatings are suitable for a wide variety of applications and provide many environmental, productivity, and profitability benefits.
Our History
It all began back in 2002 when DVUV built the first UV cured powder coating line in North America for MDF. Since then Keyland Polymer began manufacturing and producing its own resin and UV curable powder coatings not only for MDF, but additional substrates. Our story begins in Plainwell, Michigan with a former company named Decorative Veneer. The first UV cured powder coating system for Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) in North America was built here.
Decorative Veneer moves its powder coating system and operations to Cleveland, Ohio and rebrands as DVUV.
To this day, DVUV produces powder coated MDF wood components for healthcare, hospitality, office, education, and retail industries.
Keyland Polymer UV Powder is founded and becomes the sole UV curable powder coating supplier for DVUV’s wood powder coating business.
Keyland continues working to develop, formulate, and manufacture UV curable powder coatings for DVUV as well as other customers and substrates.
Keyland Polymer UV Powder begins development of proprietary 100% solid resins for UV curable powder coatings and other specialty applications.
Keyland Polymer UV Powder produces its first production scale volumes of polyester and epoxy resins.
Keyland Polymer UV Powder successfully cures its UV cured powder coatings with a UVLED array.
Keyland Polymer UV Materials Spain is established to further expand Keyland’s global reach for UV curable powder coatings and resins.
Keyland Polymer UV Materials Spain establishes a fully staffed resin development laboratory and expands its production capacity for UV curable solid resins.
Keyland Polymer UV Materials Spain produces the first production quantities of UV cured resins at its new production facility.
Keyland Polymer UV Powder assists in the installation of a UV powder system for coating heat sensitive foam core metal doors in commercial and industrial applications.
